Safety Instructions PLEASE READ ALL OF THE INSTRUCTIONS COMPLETELY BEFORE USE. CAUTION: NO USER -SERVICEABLE PARTS INSIDE. REFER SERVICING TO QUALIFIED SERVICE PERSONNEL. READ BEFORE OPERATING EQUIPMENT. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS 1)Read and understand all safety and operating instructions before the Device is operated. 2)Retain Instructions: The safety and operating instructions should be retained for future reference. 3)Heed Warnings: All warnings on the device and operating instructions should be followed. 4) Follow all operations and use instructions. 5 )Water and Moisture: The device should not be immersed in water or any other liquid. 6) Use only a damp cloth or alcohol pad for cleaning the exterior of the device. 7) Do not place the device on an unstable cart, stand, bracket or table. The device may fall, causing serious personal injury and damage to the device. 8) Ventilation: This device should be situated so that its location or position does not interfere with its proper ventilation. Some condensation may form as the CO2 gas is expressed. 9) Heat: Never put the device in direct sunlight in an unventilated area. The device should be away from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, or other equipment that produces heat. 10) Keep cartridges and CO2mmander® within normal room temperature, not to exceed 90◦ Fahrenheit; not even for a short period of time. Extreme heat or cold could damage the Co2mmander®II device. Please follow cartridge manufacturer’s guidelines on the safe storage of compressed medical gas. 11) Do not remove any cartridge from the device unless the gas has been completely expressed via the luer lock attachment port. Cartridges are under pressure which may cause them to become a projectile if there is still a large quantity of gas within the cartridge upon removal. 12) If a cartridge needs to be removed to take Co2mmander® II on an airplane, please follow the instructions on expressing the gas via the luer lock attachment port.
